Psychotherapy

Our talented group at Contemporary Care delivers with years of experience covering all areas of psychotherapy, with a collective expertise. Our approach is not limited to medication management, but takes a holistic analysis of the patient, carefully exploring the biopsychosocial parameters of each individual. By addressing, lifestyle, behavior, genetic predisposition, and environment, we direct our patients to a proper, personalized balance to maintain wellness with low rates of relapse.

Hailing from elite institutions such as Harvard, Columbia, Yale, and Dartmouth, our providers work closely as a team, encouraging one another to think critically and consider all out-of-the-box approaches. Furthermore, because we work as a team, someone is always available to address our patients’ concerns and no questions are left unexplored. This approach gives high success rates, meaning a high quality of life for our patients.

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, has long been the cornerstone for treatment of mental illnesses. Providers form a therapeutic alliance  with the patient to help them develop insight into their behaviors and coping skills to work through their problems, which may range from psychiatric illness such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, to relationship issues, trauma, addiction, loss of a loved one, loss of a job or a diagnosed medical illness. Together, the patient and provider select the most effective treatment modality to match the patient’s personality. Our providers offer a number of types of psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, supportive psychotherapy etc.
